Happy Vesak Day!!! (:

[for those who are clueless, vesak day is to celebrate the birth of the Buddha,[after attaining spiritual enlightenment?] if i'm not wrong (: => correct me if i m wrong! ]

Vesak Day reminds me of primary school days when we hold an annual vesak day fair! (: My favourite part of the fair will the time for redeeming my prize. hah!

Went to three temples today (:

One thing I really dislike about going to temples is the smoke fumes. It's really horrid especially when there are like, hordes of people. Your eyes just can't seem to stop tearing and your bloody nose can't breathe properly. and every few minutes some guy will remove all the joss sticks from the big urn [it's called an urn right?] and put them in a pail of water or something.

The temple at Waterloo street was the worst. It was raining at that time, so the place was pretty slippery, and umbrellas were kind of getting in the way. And we had to go in by the side entrance/exit, cus the main entrance was just simply... too full. I can still remember the man(guard?keeper?) was pacing about, on the steps, speaking through the loudspeaker. He was saying "Beware of PickPockets" again and again, sometimes in English, sometimes in chinese and sometimes in Hokkien. Occasionally he will switch to something else like, "Rang4 lu4 rang4 lu4, zhou3 jin4 lai3 yi4 dian1!"
